What is The UnPluggEd Project?
A national initiative focused on rediscovering distraction-free learning during one week this October.
The UnPluggEd Project is a collaborative initiative from Smartphone Free Childhood US and the Distraction-Free Schools Policy Project that encourages schools, families, and community groups to intentionally create opportunities for distraction-free learning during one week each year.
Participating schools, community groups and individuals are invited to reduce reliance on internet-connected devices and instead emphasize discussion, reading, writing, creativity, collaboration, hands-on learning, and meaningful human connection.
This is not an anti-technology campaign. Rather, it is an invitation to ask a simple question:
What becomes possible when students are given space to focus?
